CARSYSTEM Stone Chip Protection KS-1050 is a high quality overpaintable protective coating against stone chip damage. It is used for protection against stone chips on the underbody and all visible parts of a car.

Application

KS-1050 is ideally suited for all vehicle parts, e.g. on spoilers and doors as a stone chip protection and on boots, engine bonnets and underbody as a corrosion protection (also suitable for PVC).

•         Packaging: 500 ml spray can

•         Working pressure: 4 to 5 bar
•          Dust dry: after ca. 30 minutes
•         Tack free: after ca. 60 minutes
•         Hardened/Overpaintable: after ca. 2 hours

Directions for use:

Remove existing paint and rust and sand the surface. Thoroughly remove rust and grease and clean the surface.

Cover areas not to be treated, e.g. exhaust systems, brakes and springs.

Shake the container thoroughly before use. Apply at room temperature (15-25°C). Spray from a distance of 25-30 cm.

The drying time depends on the ambient temperature, the air humidity and the layer thickness.

Plastic Pro is a polyester putty specially for the filling or repairing of plastic parts.

A specialized new developed plastic putty for the most common plastics available on the market.

The putty has excellent properties such as adhesion, elasticity and sandability as well as fineness of the surface.

Application 

Spread on with a putty knife for repairing scratches and damages on polyester components. When using plastic pro it is neccessary to use a primer before, only then you will reach a good putty adherence.

Dosing

-Addition of 2-3 % by weight hardener paste.

Overdosing of the hardener paste is to be avoided. Bleeding-through and colour changes in the finishing coat might be the result.

Pot Life

– At +20°C room temperature, 3 – 4 minutes.

Reaction temperature

– At least +5°C.

Drying time

– Air drying 15 minutes at a room temperature of +20°C 

Sanding characteristics

Following drying times given.

• First sanding – dry with P150 – P180.
• Re-sanding – dry with P240 P360.

Reworking

The Plastic Pro putty can be reworked with all common 2K acrylic fillers available in the market or with the following CARSYSTEM products:

 KS-250 is designed to protect hollow cavities on vehicles from corrosion. It even flows into tight spaces and has a very good adhesion to metal. KS-250 has an excellent heat resistance and can be used on parts of the engine, as well. For renewing and retreating of existing protective coatings.

Characteristics

•         KS-250 has a hydrophobic and penetrating effect.

•       Once the solvents are evaporated, KS-250 is slightly sticky and leaves a glazed wax like film on the surface.

•         KS-250 will provide a reliable rust protection for several years and has a long-term protection on surfaces, which are in contact with aggressive liquids like salt-water etc.

•         KS 250 has a high melting point of 160°C and has a no-dripping feature for an optimal use.

Surface preparation

The surfaces to be treated must be free of coarse rust and as dust-free as possible. Problem areas such as corners, edges and weld seams should be sprayed particularly carefully and thickly.

Application

Shake aerosol well before use and apply at room temperature (15°C to 30 °C). Dust-dry after approx. 2 1/2 h, completely dry after approx. 3 1/2 h. The drying time depends on the ambient temperature, the air humidity and the applied layer thickness.

HB BODY U100 HYD STONE CHIP is a 1K waterborne rubber stone-chip protection coating designed for automotive bodywork.

It provides excellent adhesion and flexibility, along with sound-deadening properties. Suitable for both external and internal parts of the car body and can be overpainted with all paint systems.

Elastic weiss is a 2K-polyester filler developed specially for the body painter and fulfilling the highest demands of quality.

Application

Because of its qualities of filling pores in the area of filling and base putty area, this fine putty can also be used to repair small scratches and paint defects. The base must be clean, dry and grease-free.

Spread on with a spatula. Air drying at +20°C room temperature, 15 – 20 minutes.

Sandability 

Following drying times given.

As filling putty:

First sanding – dry with P80 – P120

Re-sanding – dry with P120 – 240

As fine putty:

First sanding – dry with P120 – P180

Re-sanding – dry with P180 – P240

Reworking

The fine putty can be gone over with CS Spray.
