Note: Amber Rustproofing is not recommended for use on exposed areas such as luggage compartments or engine bays, as the material remains tacky after application.

Surface Preparation

Clean area to be coated with Wax and Grease Remover.

2 in 1 Trim Black has excellent adhesion to most substrates, however, for difficult to adhere polyolefins, Adhesion Promoter may be used.

APPLICATION

Shake can well.
For best results, use when can is between 70 – 90ºF (21 – 32ºC).
Hold can 8 – 10” from surface and spray with steady, even strokes.
Several thin coats are better than one thick coat. After use, invert can and spray to clean nozzle.
Allow final coat to dry one hour before handling parts.
Replace metal trim and panels carefully to avoid damaging the freshly painted surfaces.

Tex Coat is a flexible protective coating. Texture can be varied to match OEM textures as found on rocker panels, valances, etc.

Suitable Substrates
• Raw plastic – rigid (SMC, BMC) • Bare steel • 1K primer
• Raw plastic – flex (ABD, PPO) • Bare galvanized • 2K primer
• Raw plastic – soft (PUR) • Bare aluminum • Self etch primer
• Plastic part- primed • OEM E-coat • Body filler
• OEM finish & old paint work – non-reversible

Features

Tex Coat is a rapid drying, flexible protective coating.
Texture can be varied to match OEM textures as found on rocker panels, valances, etc.
Paintable in 30-45 minutes.
Highly chip resistant.
Convenient aerosol requires no equipment clean-up.

Surface Prep & Application

Clean with wax and grease remover.
Remove existing finish and clean again with wax and grease remover.
Prepare bare metal with appropriate Transtar metal primer.
Sand with 220grit.
Remove sanding dust with Wax and grease.
Shake Tex Coat can vigorously.
Apply in 1 – 3 light even coats.
Film build should be about 3.0mils per coat.
Total film build should not exceed 8-10 mils. Flash 10-15
minutes between coats. IMPORTANT: KEEP CAN IN MOTION WHEN APPLYING
TO AVOID EXCESSIVE FILM BUILD.
Allow final Tex Coat application to flash 30-60 minutes at 75°F (25°C) before topcoating. Follow manufacturer’s instructions before topcoating.

Allow to dry for 15 – 20 minutes before sanding.
Sand with 320-400 (dry) or 500-600 (wet) grit sandpaper until a smooth surface is attained.
Reclean with wax and grease remover, wipe area with a tack cloth and apply top coat paint per manufacturers instructions.

Approximate Coverage: 432 ft2/gal @ 1 mil

Quick Dry Rubberized Undercoat is a rapid-drying highly protective automotive coating for autobody interiors and underhood applications. Resists rust and abrasion as it seals out dust and moisture. It deadens sound and has excellent adhesion to painted and unpainted surfaces.

Surface Preparation:

Clean with wax and grease.

Application:

AEROSOL:

Shake well.
Wash and solvent clean surface to remove all rust, dirt and grease using wax and grease.
Hold can in an upright position and spray 8-10 inches from surface, using steady light strokes. 2 coats (@2.5-3.5 mils per coat) will produce a better finish than one heavy coat.
Remove overspray with Acry Solvent. (Adhesive Cleaner)

Transtar Super Stick Trim Adhesive Aerosol 60-4063-F.

Super Stick Trim Adhesive is a ready to use, non-staining, fast drying, high strength material. For best results, use at room temperature. High strength trim adhesive with adjustable spray pattern.

Suitable Substrates:

• OEM E-Coat

• Plastic part – primed

• 2K primer
• Primer – self-etching

• OEM finish & old paint work – non-reversible

Surface Prep & Application

Wash and solvent clean to remove all road dirt, grease and silicone.

Shake well.

Select desired spray pattern by turning activator button.

Hold can 6 – 10inches from surface, apply a uniform overlap coat to both bonding surfaces.

Allow to flash for 1 – 3 minutes until tacky, then press firmly together.

CAUTION: Since solvent may mar or attack some plastic or painted surfaces, masking is required where overspray may occur. This product is not recommended forinstallation of complete or partial vinyl tops. It may be used for small repair jobs on vinyl tops.
